Holistic beauty incorporates a whole-body approach to skin, hair, nails, and wellness. In its true essence, the foundation of beauty is derived from being healthy. Our appearance reflects our health and our health is a reflection of beauty.


What we consume and what we apply to our skin are deeply interconnected facets of our overall health and beauty. True wellness begins with nourishing our bodies with wholesome nutrition and selecting skincare products that work harmoniously with our skin's inherent vitality. By minimizing exposure to toxins in our daily routines, managing stress levels, and cultivating a positive mindset, we can radiate beauty from the inside out.

The best skincare is the one that you can eat. Topical beauty applications are a great, but a healthy diet is one of the most effective ways to have gorgeous skin. Our skin reflects our health; when we nourish our body, we also nourish our beauty.


Try these beauty foods for naturally gorgeous skin


  • Avocados: an excellent source of dietary fiber and are rich in vitamin E that can help slow the signs of aging, protect against free radical damage, and help the fat-soluble vitamins found in fruits and vegetables absorb better.

 

  • Bone broth: Contains high amounts of collagen for healthy and radiant skin. Collagen is a building block for the skin, and consuming it is an excellent way to encourage supple, smooth, and glowing skin.

 

  • Sweet potatoes: rich in vitamins A, C, E, and potassium and are an excellent source of beta carotene, to support healthy skin.

 

  • Berries: contain high amounts of antioxidants to help combat free radical damage, which can age the skin.

 

  • Dark leafy greens: rich in minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron, and potassium, and vitamins B, C, E, K, and phytonutrients that help the skin to appear vibrant, healthy, and glowing.

 

  • Eggs: an excellent source of protein. The amino acids lysine and proline in eggs support collagen and elastin production for more youthful skin.

 

  • Water: hydrated skin is glowing skin! Dehydrated skin can appear dry, dull, and fine lines and wrinkles are more prominent. Make sure to drink at least half your weight in once of water each day. It can improve skin tone, and plump the skin for a gorgeous glow from the inside out.

Even if we consume a diet rich in vitamins and minerals, an unhealthy gut can hinder the absorption of these nutrients. Instead, change your mindset.

One of my favorite books about kindness is: Be Nice (Or Else): and what's in it for you by Winn Claybaugh.


The book was required reading during my days in cosmetology school (Paul Mitchell the School). It is one of those books that everyone needs to read, it really teaches you about the importance of being a nice person and how common habits can actually be perceived as unkind. I highly recommended you give it a read!
